Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 June 2026 · Version 1.7
Plain-language terms for the Edelvor platform. We’ve written these so you can actually read them. If something is unclear, email admin@edelvor.com.
1. Who you’re agreeing with
“Edelvor”, “we”, “us” refers to Haimi Jordaan (ABN 61 267 830 638), trading as Edelvor, the operator of edelvor.com. “You” means anyone who uses the platform, whether you browse as a visitor, sign up as an engineer, administer a firm account, or submit enquiries as a client. By creating an account or otherwise using the platform, you accept these terms.
If you’re using Edelvor on behalf of a firm, you confirm that you’re authorised to do so and that the firm is bound by these terms.
2. What Edelvor is, and isn’t
Edelvor is a specialist search and introductions service. Clients describe the engineer their project needs, and we find suitable candidates at engineering firms and send the client those candidates’ Edelvor profiles to review. We also make engineers’ careers portable in a structured way.
Edelvor is nota party to any engagement you enter into with another user. We don’t provide professional services ourselves, we don’t vouch for commercial outcomes, and we can’t guarantee that any enquiry will convert into work. Contracts, scope, fees, and performance are strictly between the client and the firm or engineer.
We also can’t guarantee a match. Specialist briefs are narrow, and a search can come back with no suitable candidates. Where that happens we’ll tell you and may close the request without an introduction. Submitting a request remains free for clients either way.
2A. Early operation
Edelvor is in early operation. Features, settings, and policies may change frequently as the platform develops. Some changes may be material. In those cases we’ll give 14 days notice via email to your account address before the change takes effect.
Data loss is possible during major structural changes. We recommend exporting your CV, project history, and any other content you’d want to keep, on a regular basis. Export tools are available from your dashboard.
Where a change affects billing or data retention, the 14-day notice applies. Where a change is operational only (UI updates, performance work, security patches), we may make it without notice.
3. Your account
You need an account to submit enquiries, file reports, edit a profile, or access a firm dashboard. You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure, for everything that happens under your account, and for telling us if you suspect someone else is using it.
You must be at least 18 to use Edelvor. Accounts cannot be shared or sold.
4. Endorsed seats
Firms pay a flat monthly subscription of A$15 per Endorsed individual, billed monthly, from the first Endorsed listing. Listing team members without an Endorsed seat is free and unlimited. Every profile at a firm, free or Endorsed, is considered when Edelvor matches a client request. Endorsed individuals are given preference when Edelvor selects who to put forward.
Full rate card on the pricing page.
5. What you put on the platform
You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you publish, your profile, case studies, reviews, and any other content you submit. You must not post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, infringing, or that breaches any confidentiality obligation you owe to a client, employer, or third party.
5.1 Licence you give us
When you post content on Edelvor, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, index, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform and in related marketing (including social media previews). You keep ownership of your content. This licence ends when you remove the content or delete your account, except that we may keep backups for a reasonable period and may retain content we’re legally required to keep.
5.2 Reviews
Any authenticated user may submit a review of an engineer. Reviews must describe a real interaction or engagement accurately. Fake, paid, retaliatory, or unrelated reviews will be removed. Each review is sent to the reviewed engineer for approval before it appears anywhere public. Until the engineer approves, the review is visible only to them and platform administrators, and is used to inform ranking signals and administrative decisions (for example, Endorsed and Edelvor Verified grants). Reviews are kept private to the reviewed engineer and platform administrators until Edelvor enables aggregate public display, and the timing and mechanism of that rollout is at our discretion.
5.3 Named-engineer involvement guarantees
Where a firm represents that a named engineer will be involved at a specific level (hands-on, oversight, or advisory), that commitment is contractual between the firm and the client, not between Edelvor and either party. We surface complaints about involvement on the engineer’s and firm’s profiles, but any legal remedy for a breach of an involvement guarantee lies between the client and the firm.
6. Things you must not do
Don’t use Edelvor to:
- impersonate another person or firm, or misrepresent your qualifications, registrations, or professional standing
- scrape, copy, or republish the platform or other users’ content outside of what these terms permit
- harass, threaten, or target any individual, or post hateful or abusive content
- submit enquiries in bad faith, for spam, for data harvesting, or for recruiting purposes where recruiting is not permitted
- circumvent the platform to avoid subscription obligations
- reverse-engineer, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
- use automated systems to create accounts, submit content, or submit enquiries without written permission
7. Reporting problems
Every profile, case study, firm, and enquiry has a “Report” option. Use it if you see anything that looks fake, abusive, or that violates these terms. Reports go to our admin team, who will review them and take appropriate action, which may include removing content, restricting accounts, or suspending users.
8. Paid plans and subscriptions
Firms pay a flat monthly subscription of A$15 per Endorsed individual, as described in section 4. Pricing is published on the pricing page and may change on 30 days’ notice. Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless you cancel beforehand. All prices on the rate card are quoted in Australian dollars. Edelvor is operated by Haimi Jordaan (ABN 61 267 830 638) and is not currently GST-registered, so no GST is added to the listed price.
Using Edelvor to find an engineer and submitting enquiries is free for clients. We don’t charge clients to make contact. If we ever introduce client-side fees, we’ll give you notice and you’ll be able to decline the change before any fee applies.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis, reflecting the Australian Consumer Law. If you’re unhappy, tell us what happened and we’ll work with you to find a fair outcome.
9. Ending your relationship with us
You can close your account at any time from the privacy dashboard. We operate a 30-day deletion window: your request is queued and can be cancelled by you during that window. After 30 days, we anonymise your profile and strip personal information. Some records (audit logs, feedback authored by you, financial records we’re required to retain) may be kept for legal or compliance reasons, but they’ll no longer be linked to you.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, put other users at risk, or if we’re legally required to. Where practical we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to respond.
10. Intellectual property
The Edelvor name, logo, visual design, and codebase are owned by us. You’re welcome to use the platform as intended. You’re not licensed to copy the design, code, or branding for any other purpose.
You keep ownership of the content you post. Other users’ content belongs to them, don’t copy it without permission.
11. Warranties and liability
We do our best to keep Edelvor accurate and available, but we provide the platform “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude all express and implied warranties other than those that cannot be excluded (including under the Australian Consumer Law).
Where we are liable, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you’ve paid us in that period, and (b) A$1,000. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or loss-of-profit claims arising from your use of the platform or any engagement you enter into through it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using Edelvor you accept that policy along with these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We’ll update these terms from time to time. For significant changes we’ll notify you by email or an in-platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree with a change you can close your account before it takes effect.
14. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and Edelvor submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. Before starting any formal proceedings, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly, most disputes can be sorted with a conversation.

These terms are deliberately light on legalese. They aren’t a substitute for independent legal advice if you’re using Edelvor for a regulated purpose or you’re committing your firm to something material. If in doubt, check with your lawyer before agreeing.
