Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026 · Version 1.0

Plain-language terms for the Edelvor platform. We’ve written these so you can actually read them. If something is unclear, email admin@edelvor.com.

1. Who you’re agreeing with

“Edelvor”, “we”, “us” refers to the operator of edelvor.com.au. “You” means anyone who uses the platform, whether you browse as a visitor, sign up as a professional, administer a company account, or submit enquiries as a client. By creating an account or otherwise using the platform, you accept these terms.

If you’re using Edelvor on behalf of a company, you confirm that you’re authorised to do so and that the company is bound by these terms.

2. What Edelvor is, and isn’t

Edelvor is a directory and introductions platform. We help organisations find verified professionals and firms, and we make those professionals’ careers portable and public in a structured way.

Edelvor is nota party to any engagement you enter into with another user. We don’t provide professional services ourselves, we don’t vouch for commercial outcomes, and we can’t guarantee that any enquiry will convert into work. Contracts, scope, fees, and performance are strictly between the client and the firm or professional.

3. Your account

You need an account to submit enquiries, file reports, edit a profile, or access a company dashboard. You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure, for everything that happens under your account, and for telling us if you suspect someone else is using it.

You must be at least 16 to use Edelvor. Accounts cannot be shared or sold.

4. Founding Fellow badge

The first 1,000 Fellows on Edelvor, that is, the first 1,000 users to complete a 100%-complete profile and be listed by an active firm, earn a permanent Founding Fellow badge. The badge is yours for life, even if you later leave the platform or your Fellow status is paused. It carries no ongoing pricing subsidy. There is no specific end date; the founding window closes when the 1,000th Fellow is seated.

The free three Fellow seats per firm (see the pricing page) are separate from Founding Fellow status: they apply to every firm during the founding window regardless of whether anyone at the firm holds a Founding Fellow badge. When the founding window closes, firms that were using those free seats have 14 days to choose whether to upgrade to a paid subscription (keeping those users listed as Fellows) or stay free (those users lose Fellow status only; account, firm association, employment history, profile data, Founding Fellow badge, login, and inbox all stay intact).

5. What you put on the platform

You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you publish, your profile, case studies, feedback, enquiries, and any other content you submit. You must not post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, infringing, or that breaches any confidentiality obligation you owe to a client, employer, or third party.

5.1 Licence you give us

When you post content on Edelvor, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, index, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform and in related marketing (including social media previews). You keep ownership of your content. This licence ends when you remove the content or delete your account, except that we may keep backups for a reasonable period and may retain content we’re legally required to keep.

5.2 Feedback must be genuine

After a completed enquiry, a client may submit a short private feedback record (a Yes/No “would work again” response plus an optional comment). Feedback must describe an actual engagement. Fake, paid, retaliatory, or unrelated feedback will be removed and may result in account termination. Feedback is visible only to the fellow it concerns, their firm administrators, and platform administrators, it is never displayed on public profiles.

5.3 Fellow involvement guarantees

Where a firm represents that a named fellow will be involved at a specific level (hands-on, oversight, or advisory), that commitment is contractual between the firm and the client, not between Edelvor and either party. We surface complaints about involvement on the fellow’s and firm’s profiles, but any legal remedy for a breach of an involvement guarantee lies between the client and the firm.

6. Things you must not do

Don’t use Edelvor to:

  • impersonate another person or firm, or misrepresent your qualifications, registrations, or professional standing;
  • scrape, copy, or republish the platform or other users’ content outside of what these terms permit;
  • harass, threaten, or target any individual, or post hateful or abusive content;
  • submit enquiries in bad faith, for spam, for data harvesting, or for recruiting purposes where recruiting is not permitted;
  • circumvent the platform to avoid introduction fees or subscription obligations;
  • reverse-engineer, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform;
  • use automated systems to create accounts, submit content, or submit enquiries without written permission.

7. Reporting problems

Every profile, case study, company, and enquiry has a “Report” option. Use it if you see anything that looks fake, abusive, or that violates these terms. Reports go to our admin team, who will review them and take appropriate action, which may include removing content, restricting accounts, or suspending users.

8. Paid plans and subscriptions

Beyond the Founding Member trial, firms pay a subscription based on how many fellows they list and features they use. Pricing is published on the pricing page and may change on 30 days’ notice. Subscriptions renew automatically at the stated cadence unless you cancel beforehand. Fees are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

Searching Edelvor and submitting enquiries is free for organisations, we don’t charge clients to make contact. If we ever introduce client-side fees, we’ll give you notice and you’ll be able to decline the change before any fee applies.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis, reflecting the Australian Consumer Law. If you’re unhappy, tell us what happened and we’ll work with you to find a fair outcome.

9. Ending your relationship with us

You can close your account at any time from the privacy dashboard. We operate a 30-day deletion window: your request is queued and can be cancelled by you during that window. After 30 days, we anonymise your profile and strip personal information. Some records (audit logs, feedback authored by you, financial records we’re required to retain) may be kept for legal or compliance reasons, but they’ll no longer be linked to you.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, put other users at risk, or if we’re legally required to. Where practical we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to respond.

10. Intellectual property

The Edelvor name, logo, visual design, and codebase are owned by us. You’re welcome to use the platform as intended; you’re not licensed to copy the design, code, or branding for any other purpose.

You keep ownership of the content you post. Other users’ content belongs to them, don’t copy it without permission.

11. Warranties and liability

We do our best to keep Edelvor accurate and available, but we provide the platform “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude all express and implied warranties other than those that cannot be excluded (including under the Australian Consumer Law).

Where we are liable, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you’ve paid us in that period, and (b) AUD $100. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or loss-of-profit claims arising from your use of the platform or any engagement you enter into through it.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using Edelvor you accept that policy along with these terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We’ll update these terms from time to time. For significant changes we’ll notify you by email or an in-platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree with a change you can close your account before it takes effect.

14. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and Edelvor submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. Before starting any formal proceedings, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly, most disputes can be sorted with a conversation.

These terms are deliberately light on legalese. They aren’t a substitute for independent legal advice if you’re using Edelvor for a regulated purpose or you’re committing your organisation to something material. If in doubt, check with your lawyer before agreeing.
